It feels great to be on the cover of Golf Digest for the first time. I even had a few copies shipped across the Atlantic to my hometown of Sheffield for my mum and dad to see.
I had a good laugh with the editors posing for the cover story, “Cracking the Code,” where they stood me in front of a crazy work board with connecting strings—as if figuring out how to win the 2022 U.S. Open were a matter for a detective. That week in Boston the media talked a lot about my big jump in driving distance, which was a significant factor, but the truth is I turned over lots of stones to get incrementally better in every area of my game. It all added up.
