Today, I want to give you three tactics I’ve used to make more than $1.5 million over the past two years. Even though I’ve primarily used these tactics on Instagram, you can apply them to any platform to generate more revenue with less work. They are: Tactic #1: The 3-Step Call to Action Most of the entrepreneurs I see on social media are great at creating valuable, shareable, and actionable content--but terrible at leveraging that content to drive more profits to their business. If you don’t have a proven call to action script that converts attention into dollars, you are leaving a TON of money on the table. Tactic #2: The Reverse Mind Map The #1 secret to generating more sales on social media is this: Enter the conversation in your prospect’s mind. Most people wake up and get blasted by an endless barrage of distractions and requests for their attention. And unless you can stand out from the chatter and speak directly to their biggest fears, goals, needs, and desires--they will never buy from you. The solution is what I call a “Reverse Mind Map.” Take a few minutes to sit down and ask yourself, “What are the thoughts -- as they relate to my solution -- going through my prospects head every day of the week?” For example, if you run a nutrition coaching business, your reverse mind map might look like this: -Monday: (Feeling motivated) This week I’m going to stick with my diet! -Tuesday: (Feeling overwhelmed) Ugh. Today was such a stressful day at work, I really don’t feel like cooking tonight--I wish I could just order out. -Wednesday: (Feeling confident) I’m so glad I stuck to my diet last night. I know I can make it through the week! -Thursday: (Feeling doubtful) I’ve done a good job with my diet this week, but work has been so stressful and my friends want to go out tomorrow night... -Friday: (Feeling trapped) I want to go out with my friends tonight but I also need to lose this weight...I just won’t eat anything unhealthy -Saturday: (Feeling defeated) I can’t believe how much I ate last night! I’m such a screw up. -Sunday: (Feeling determined) Ok, I’m going to set myself up for success this week and meal prep so it’s easier to hit my goal. With this mind map in place, you now know exactly what your clients are thinking each day and you can tailor your content and promotions to those thoughts. Example content schedule: -Monday: (Motivation) You can do this! No matter how badly you screwed up last week, you can make the right decision today. -Tuesday: (Tactics) Struggling to eat healthy with your busy schedule? Here are 10 easy recipes you can prep in advance so you can enjoy clean and delicious meals without the hassle. -Wednesday: (Continue the momentum) Look at my client Amanda! She used my coaching to lose 22 lbs in 8-weeks without giving up her favorite foods or spending hours in the gym… You can too! -Thursday: (Make it easier) Here’s a quick tip you can use to make fat loss automatic so you can enjoy your favorite meals guilt free. -Friday: (Affirm their desires) You don’t need to feel ashamed for “cheating” on the weekends. You can use this system to lose fat and enjoy your favorite foods guilt-free. -Saturday: (Share your failures) I cheat when I’m out with friends too! In fact, look at what I ate last night… Here’s a system you can use to eat the foods you want while still losing weight and feeling amazing. -Sunday: (Help them get back on track) Here are a few quick tips to help make meal prepping easier this week. If you implement this, your customers will start telling you, “It’s like you’re inside my head.” And if you can speak directly to the problems and challenges they’re facing...you must have the solution. Tactic #3: Your Personal Brand Story People don’t buy from you because your products or services are the best -- there are hundreds of other people out there offering solutions that are almost identical to yours -- they buy from you because they resonate with the story your brand is telling. When people buy from my friend and client Jason Capital, they aren’t just buying a copywriting or marketing program, they’re buying a lifestyle of freedom and status. When people buy from my business partner Bedros Keuilian, they aren’t just buying access to a mastermind or a franchise location. They’re buying into an identity as someone who gets things done, has a huge vision, is relentless in their pursuit of success, and is living the American Dream. When people buy from me, they aren’t buying an online program, workshop seat, or phone-coaching. They’re buying the Operator mentality. They’re buying into becoming someone who is disciplined, focused, and capable of having the success and the balance they desire. What is the brand driving your products? What is the story your customers want to become part of? What is the personality you want to convey? When you can get clarity on this question, using your new story to create content that converts followers into dollars will become all but automatic. * * * These are some of the tactics I’ve used to grow my brand, earn “easy” money, and predictably increase my revenue month after month.
