Good Sunday morning I hope you had a great week. Earlier in the week, we went on a two-day road trip to The Omni La Costa in Carlsbad. We were supposed to spend three nights but, like a fool, I forgot my laptop. It was the first time I've ever done this. The hotel was beautiful but the weather wasn't great so we didn't spend any time in their family-friendly pool.
However, we did go to nearby (15 minutes) Legoland, which was great except that we went on a holiday so it was just too crowded for our liking. So we didn't stay long but it appears we were there long enough for our two-year-old daughter to put her MOUTH on the railing of the kids slide. Sure enough two days later, she was sick. Fortunately, it was just a 24-hour bug but then our son got it and now it looks like my wife and I have it. We're going to get tested just to make sure it's not Covid. Ugh.
It was another busy week in the travel industry including news that the U.S. has finally set the date for allowing fully vaccinated travelers to enter. Be prepared for international arrivals at U.S. airports on November 8 to resemble the LHR scenes in the movie Love Actually.
