Global Democracy is In Need of Tech Support This year, over 50 countries, approximately half of the world’s population, will go to the polls. If you’re worried about how new advances in generative AI will affect those elections, you’re in good company. An Ipsos report on global views of AI and disinformation revealed that in many countries, most people believe AI will lead to an increase in online falsehoods. We definitely share these concerns. And we’re calling on tech companies to embrace openness and transparency as a way to protect our democracies from AI-powered disinformation.
