A new age in space tech?
Happy Tuesday, Baltimore. Today, our city (and state) had a fun international spotlight that extended all the way to the cosmos.
As we reported below, NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center held a telecast today premiering images from the James Webb Space Telescope. The telescope, known by NASA as "Webb," uses infrared technology to see galaxy clusters, nebulae and other space phenomena not previously detectable by other telescopes. And in case you didn't know: Mission and research projects are coordinated from Baltimore's own Space Telescope Science Institute!
The photos are gorgeous and speak for themselves. But we cover startups, and the news makes me wonder: Are any local companies you know of working on tech to further this new age of space research and exploration, particularly with infrared technology and imaging?
