After extensive research, consideration, and a vote by hospital nurses, MSK chose Relationship-Based Care (RBC), which focuses on three key relationships: with self, with colleagues, and with patients/families. For this week's lead story, I talked with McCormick, who is retiring at the end of this year, about how RBC was adapted at the celebrated New York cancer center more than 15 years ago and how it has performed. |
