Good afternoon,

A lot can happen in the cycle of a news day and the last 24 hours have been no exception.
Our #shotinthearm campaign to allow ALL local pharmacies to issue the Covid vaccine is gathering pace.
Although the government says they are on board with using pharmacies, the reality is just 200 have been utilised countrywide and others, including the DDL Davies pharmacy in Plungington, have been rejected as vaccine centres. This is despite having the capacity to vaccinate 1,500 a week in the heart of that community.
You have been contacting us in your hundreds with your worries, fears and realities including elderly people in their 80s and from Lancashire being given suggested vaccine centres as far away as Milton Keynes.
Please keep these real-world stories coming, as it is your plight which will make the government change its strategy.
Meanwhile, the pressure is on over the poor school meal packages being delivered to children and an increasing number of schools are switching to vouchers. Let us know if you are impacted.
Meanwhile, all the latest breaking news is available via our live blog at lep.co.uk.
Enjoy your Wednesday and stay safe,
Regards, Nicola
