Our outdoor returns are built to be both theft deterrent and vandal resistant. Depository openings and chutes are constructed to prevent thieves from reaching in and pulling anything out. The unique inter-locking seams prohibit them from being pried apart. Every access door is attached with a full-length piano hinge. The three free sides of the door are secured with a commercial grade three-point lock so you can be confident that it will stay shut.

Kingsley book returns come standard with various weather-resistant features. All seams are sealed to keep liquids out. New units come with a pre-installed drip rail to protect the top of the access door from rain and snow. The access door has a paddle handle that covers the lock to keep out ice and debris. Additionally, all outdoor units have fully ramped bottoms so deposited items stay off the ground and out of pooling water.

Our units are sealed so well for weather protection that they are also fire suppressant. They have the ability to smother a flame inside the unit in one to two minutes, depending on the size of the unit, to keep damage to a minimum.
