Six Flags sign off: Two years after being selected by Mayor LaToya Cantrell to redevelop the former Six Flags site, development group Bayou Phoenix has gotten its master plan approved. That leaves only the signing of a lease, which the group says will happen soon. Then, of course, there's the issue of public funding, which Bayou Phoenix says will need to be about $100 million. Violence in Louisiana: A new study from Tulane University has found that more than half of Louisianans have experienced physical violence, and 1 in 5 has been threatened or harmed with a gun. Missy Wilkinson has the details.
Pardon board backs request: Tiffany Woods, 43, has spent the last 17 years in prison after being convicted of murder in connection with the death of her infant son. Woods, who moved from New Orleans to Caddo Parish after Hurricane Katrina, took her baby off of formula, giving the child cow's milk instead. After the child died, she and her husband were tried and convicted on a murder charge. On Monday, a state panel granted her clemency over the objections of prosecutors. John Simerman has the story.
