New evaluation system aims to reward Louisiana teachers, and offer support

Support system: Louisiana public schools have the option of using a new teacher-evaluation system this year that state Superintendent of Education Cade Brumley says "honors teachers who are excelling in their craft” as well as providing new teachers with the support they need as they enter the profession.

The revamped system also adds teachers’ self-assessments into their overall ratings.
