ATLANTIC CITY: As part of its ongoing renovation, Harrah’s Resort Atlantic City will soon debut five new offerings, including a spa, expanded lobby bar and several food and drink experiences. All five new offerings will open in time for Memorial Day weekend, while the first phase of guest room renovations will be completed this summer. CHICAGO: Pendry Chicago, which opens this spring with 363 rooms and 13,000 square feet of meeting space, has announced some executive appointments. James Winning has been named director of sales and marketing and Jeremy Bratton has been named director of operations; other new hires include Mario Orrico Jr. as director of engineering, Christine Wilsek as director of human resources and Erik DeBeukelaer as director of finance. LOS ANGELES: Comedian Leslie Jones will host the 2021 MTV Movie & TV Awards, airing live from Los Angeles on May 16. The day after the show, MTV will air a second night of awards for reality television called Movie & TV Awards: Unscripted. Both shows are being produced by MTV's Bruce Gillmer, Wendy Plaut and Vanessa Whitewolf, as well as Den Of Thieves’ Jesse Ignjatovic and Barb Bialkowski SAN FRANCISCO: The San Francisco Ballet School's virtual festival will take place June 17. The program will feature three newly captured performances by SF Ballet School trainees, including world premieres by SF Ballet School faculty members and a performance of the Pas de Quatre from Sir Frederick Ashton’s "Swan Lake."
