NATIONAL: Hilton is now offering COVID-19 testing and health screening resources for event planners and attendees across the United States. Planners will have access to Hilton’s EventReady Playbook, which lists third-party vendors who can provide temperature-check devices, on-site testing solutions and more. The newest installment of Creatively Caffeinated, a discussion series for hospitality professionals, will take place March 18 at 6 p.m. The virtual event will be called Boss Babes: Real Women, Real Talk, and will be hosted by LaJoy Plans founder Melva LaJoy Jones. A group of four female entrepreneurs will discuss their paths to success. DAYTON, OHIO: Venue management company ASM Global has been selected to run day-to-day operations at the Dayton Convention Center. The property has 150,000 square feet of meeting space, a 77,000-square-foot exhibit hall, a full-service theater, three ballrooms and 22 meeting rooms. LAS VEGAS: Hakkasan Las Vegas, located inside the MGM Grand, will reopen March 26. Typically a 10,000-square-foot nightclub, the venue will currently operate as a socially distanced lounge. Reservations will be required, and there will be a touchless menu system via a scannable QR code. ORLANDO/CENTRAL FLORIDA: The Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando, the region's oldest and largest animal protection organization, will host Paws in the Park at Lake Eola Park on May 8. The free, socially distanced pet festival will feature adoptable pets, canine sports competitions, a costume contest, pet-friendly vendors, food trucks and more.
