DAILY UPDATE
April 17, 2017
Greetings!

Having a time machine would provide great temptation to go back and bet on sporting events, but you could also just make a perfectly legal one-decision investment that might be even more profitable -- pop back 50 years to the time when Warren Buffett was taking control of a dying textile company, and buy yourself some shares of Berkshire Hathaway for about $25 (it's just shy of $250,000 a share today).  That's more or less the promise that drives investors to continually seek out the "next Buffett," and we've covered dozens of such ideas over the years -- today it's once again Charles Mizrahi telling us that "This ONE STOCK is the 'Next Berkshire'" ... so what is it?  Just click below to...
Personal Capital is an advertiser with Stock Gumshoe, but Travis also uses it every day for his personal accounts and finds it invaluable. Here's what he said:

"They offer a great (and genuinely FREE) 'second opinion' for your financial plan, but what I love most is their automated financial dashboard -- it will look at all your assets and debts, tally up your asset allocation, project where you'll be at retirement, and suggest ways to manage risk or improve returns.

"It's free, I think their free tools are great, and I think it's worth checking out -- you can do so here."

What did you miss in the week that was?

The most-discussed ad last week was from Steve Sjuggerud, and he's promoting May 15 as the day the "global currency event of the decade" will start to fill your pockets with filthy lucre... so what is it?   Thinkolator answers and discussion here.

Frank Curzio has just started to push the marketing for his new "entry level" Curzio Research Advisory newsletter, and the ad of his that readers have been sending in promises that a "Revolutionary Device Promises to do What Both Political Parties Have Failed to do for Decades.... And Could Make You a Fortune in the Process."  So what is he talking about?  That story is here.

And we saw a return to the old "white gold" teaser pitches that used to be so common -- readers have been asking about the "OBL Superfuel" pitch from Dr. Kent Moors, with the shouted headline that this will be "1,693X more powerful than gasoline" ... so what's the wonder stock that he's got in his sights now?  Thinkolator answers are right here for the clicking.

As usual, the week came to a graceful close with the release of the Friday File for our Irregulars (my favorite people), and it was a hodgepodge of updates and notes about a half dozen stocks in my Real Money Portfolio... including some buys and sells for the week which you can see here.
