With more networking opportunities in 2022... And a good chance YOU will soon be attending a large event... We need to cover a topic near and dear to my heart – (Introverted) Networking! A few weeks back a client said... “Hey Craig, I’m going to an event where I don’t know anyone... and I’m kind of introverted... what can I do to meet people?” 1. Get Other People to Talk Most people love to talk about themselves and give advice. So go with 5 good questions you can ask anyone such as: - What are you most excited about for this event? - What’s the #1 thing you want to learn at this event? - What are you working on in your business right now? - What’s working right now in your business? - What would you do if you were me in this situation? (describe a business situation) 2. Ask if you can teach them something People will ask what you do. Tell them. Then ask, “Can I teach you about our favorite marketing method that allowed us to scale?” Then teach them something simple, quick, and effective 3. Connect People When people tell you about them and their business, do your best to make a mental connection and say:
“Oh, I know a person that can help you do ___. Would love to make an intro on IG or email.” You get bonus points for making the connection at the event. Also, I have two videos on introvert networking that expand on this and can help you even more: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3crkm9lUaOM and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5CLUrRQlSmw&t=2s Plus another one on networking in general with Bedros Keuilian: > The Art of Networking with Craig and Bedros 4. Make An Ask After people know more about your business, ask them: "Who should I get to know that might have some good insight on my business?" 5. Build the Dream One other tip... I’m a big fan of creating your “Dream 100” of people that you need to connect with for 2022. If that seems intimidating, start with a Dream Dozen... Who are the 12 people you really need to know and how can you start making the connection?
How can you add value to their life?
And who do you already know that knows that person? Asking those questions and taking action on the answers can dramatically grow your network. Growing your network is one of the best gifts to give yourself in 2022! Or feel free to consider it a gift from me. ;) Success Loves Speed, Craig |
