Anyone else’s stomach in knots about election day tomorrow? It’s all I can think about, and I think I’ve turned my 7-year-old son into a mini me even more as we had a robust and lengthy conversation about checks and balances last night.
Alas, explaining how our government and electoral process works is no piece of cake. If your kids have questions about it already — or if you’re planning on letting them stay up a bit late to watch results — consider this primer by reporter Caroline Bologna a good place to start when they start lobbing questions at you while you’re busy nervous-sipping your drink.
