Hospitals are once again relying on traveling registered nurses (TRNs) to fill the staffing gaps caused by the resurgence of COVID-19.

Vandalyn "Van" McGrue, chief nursing officer of Princeton Baptist Medical Center in Birmingham, Alabama, understands the unique difficulties and stressors of the travel nurse, because she traveled for several years. That's why she takes extra care to watch over TRNs working at Princeton Baptist.
