Congressional Republicans say they're looking at ways to either delay or lessen the impact of the new federal overtime rules on businesses, with Rep. Phil Roe, R-Tenn., calling for a middle ground between the current salary threshold and the higher one required by the coming rules. President-elect Donald Trump has expressed support for a provision protecting small businesses, and some Republicans hope he will issue an executive order curbing the rules.
