Another is the seasoning. I've cooked many a steak with only salt and pepper but my go-to steak seasoning is Colorado Cattle Company's Original Steak and Barbecue Seasoning. It's our family'sfavorite.
If you like a smoked flavor, just add a smoked salt. They're amazing; a sprinkle will give you an absolutely terrific smoked burger or steak. If you have a container to put it in, save yourself some bucks and buy it in bulk.
