Almost 50% of Americans didn't participate in outdoor recreation in 2018, and the total number of outdoor outings fell by 1 billion from 2008, according to a report from the Outdoor Foundation. "We should really be concerned as a nation that we are becoming an indoor nation," said foundation Executive Director Lise Aangeenbrug.
