We all want to have fun and enjoy ourselves with family & friends during the holidays.

But it can be pretty tempting to have one too many drinks, stay up way too late, or eat that ENTIRE plate of shortbread cookies…

Which leaves you feeling worn out and unproductive.

Falling off the wagon happens to even the BEST of us at this time of year.

Personally…

I loooove chocolate and I know that one day in the next week I’ll eat too much of it.

So what will I do to get back on track?

And what should YOU do if you...

- Eat too much?

- Hit snooze?

- Sleep late?

- Stay up late?

- Drink too much?

First, forgive yourself.

You've done nothing wrong... you’re human.

Second…

Let's build a plan to fix this!

Back in the day when I did drink…

There were times when I had 6-10 drinks the night before and then had to work the next day...

And so, I did.

There's no other answer.

It doesn't matter how we feel when we wake up.

We can't let it ruin an entire day.

And understand that every minute that goes by gets you closer to feeling better again... and making the right decisions for your right life.

So you need to figure out what the right nutrition, rituals, and movements are that get you feeling better as fast as possible.

There are zero other options.

When you get OFF track, just get back ON track ASAP.

We just have to deal with it like PRO’s.

The best way to stay on track and win each day?

Upgrade Your Rituals

a) It all starts the night before. What you eat at night (sugar, alcohol) affects how you feel the next morning, so you can't let your guard down at night. Plan your dinners and toss the temptations to make your mornings better... and stick to that as much as possible.

b) Next is your sleep. It needs to start at the right time in the right environment for the best sleep so you’re rested and energized in the morning.

HOWEVER…

If both A & B go out the window, the rest of these can still help…

c) When you wake up in the morning, consider a Phillips “light alarm” for a gentle wakeup

d) Chug water... or hydrators (flavored drink crystals) to get the hydration going as soon as you can

e) Consider having a 50mg caffeine tablet on the side of the bed if that helps

f) Do some energetic breathing in bed to start the day. Lots of great videos for this on YouTube

g) Get into sunshine early... keep hydrating... a 10-minute stretch in the sun on the balcony or walk would be good

h) Consider a cold shower or cold plunge if possible

i) Eat a low-inflammatory breakfast

j) Workout (could workout before breakfast)

h) And of course, you must always make major progress on your MIT (most important task) ASAP. This should be something that gets you closer to your #1 goal — whether that’s doing sales outreach, improving your health, or developing a key skill.

Don’t let the simplicity of these ideas fool you…

This stuff works.

So if you do get a little carried away and overindulge during the holidays…

Don’t beat yourself up about it…

Just get your butt in gear with the steps above so you can get back on track ASAP.
