Make sure your team hears your message by asking for their attention, choosing your words with care (especially if the topic is sensitive or upsetting), owning your feelings and using "and" instead of "but" to create collaboration over confrontation, says workplace conflict expert Amy Gallo. "You also want to pay attention to the other person's body language for any clues about how receptive they are to what you're saying," Gallo adds.

A new public awareness campaign by the Arizona attorney general looks to inform renters about their rights and draw attention to the issue of housing discrimination. Federal Reserve Vice Chair Philip Jefferson stated that the risks to the central bank's inflation and employment goals are now balanced, as inflation risks have decreased and employment risks have increased. "The good news is that the rise in unemployment has been limited and gradual, and the level of unemployment remains historically low," Jefferson said in his first public speech since May. "Even so, the cooling in the labor market is noticeable."
