The following is an excerpt from the "How To Speak So Your Dog Will Listen" on-line course. If you would like to enroll in the course, click here.

If you currently experience any problem behaviors with your dog, such as aggression, anxiety, or hyperactivity, you will discover exactly what is at the root of those behaviors - and how to stop them. I'm not saying that the cure will be "instantaneous" (although that occasionally does happen). You will, however, have a clear picture of what's going on within your dog when those behaviors occur, and practical steps to help you and your dog change what's happening in those situations.

Along the way, you are also going to be learning how to play with and train your dog in a completely new way. It will be fun for you and your dog, and you'll see how developing this magnetic attraction between you and your dog makes it so much easier to communicate when things get intense. After all, those are the moments that you most want your dog to listen and respond to you, aren't they?

The Inner Game of Dog Training

Before we do anything with your dog, we're going to talk about you. In all my years of working with people and their dogs, the one most challenging obstacle across the board had nothing to do with dogs. The biggest challenge in strengthening the emotional bond between dog and owner, in getting a dog to change to a more positive behavior, was the resistance to change within the dog's human companion.

I'm not saying that you have this resistance. After all, you bought this course, didn't you? That's a clear indication of being prepared for a change. Just in case you do have some internal psychological blocks to what we're about to do with you and your dog, I'm going to give you some clear steps to follow to get rid of them. And you'll see that they don't apply just to your relationship with your dog - these principles have an effect on anything you do.

What our dogs need most is for you to answer their most important question. At any given moment, your dog's most important question is "What do I do with my energy?". And as you'll see, if you consistently give your dog a way to resolve the emotional energy that they're experiencing, then your dog will be completely in tune with you no matter HOW emotionally charged the situation you might be in.
