Need a new printer for my small businessQ: I need a new printer. We have a small business so I also make, I would say, a medium amount of copies for that. I want to print great pics for framing and business copies without always troubleshooting and buying ink. I have stopped making copies and send what I need printed to my husband's office. A: I feel your pain! I've had my share of bad printers. Good ones, too! My favorite is the Epson EcoTank. You don't have to ration out your printing because this one has easy-to-fill tanks instead of expensive cartridges. Love that. I've never had a problem with mine, and I have one at home and work. I even bought my son, Ian, one. All the models copy and scan, too. |
How much internet do I need?Q: I am thinking about getting SimpliSafe for my home but do not have unlimited internet. If I get this system, along with a few cameras, how much data will I be using up on a monthly basis before my general use? And will it slow down my computer or smart television? A: SimpliSafe cameras record only when triggered. Different events have different recording times, and the data used also depends on video quality. Here's an example. Say you had a break-in that lasted 5 minutes. With the default quality (720p), that recording would typically be about 30 MB. You'd need to have several full alarms every single day for a month to reach a gigabyte of data. Allow about 10 MB a day per camera. All the other components run on cellular that's included with the monthly monitoring bill. |
