Dear reader,
You know the drill: in a few weeks’ time, after the last party popper has been popped, and we’ve enjoyed our share of mulled wine and mince pies, many of us will resolve to get fitter, healthier and happier. But in an era when misinformation and pseudoscience about ageing and health is rife on the internet, figuring out where to start can be a daunting task.
How much do we really know about what our body needs as we age? Things change, senses diminish and the brute fact is, something must be done. So, how can we make the most of our fresh determination to form new healthy habits?
On Wednesday 12 February, I’ll be joining a panel of health and wellness experts, including Phil Daoust, the joint deputy editor for G2 and Fit for ever writer; Chris van Tulleken, the doctor and BBC broadcaster and author; and Nahid de Belgeonne, the Somatic Movement coach and yoga teacher. From exercises you can do even when stuck in the office, to brain training and balancing challenges and what we should be eating to help you remain independent later in life, we’ll be sharing some healthy habits you can weave easily into your routine. This special event will be live in London and livestreamed globally.
