Some people can be, well, annoying. | Kickresume surveyed nearly 3,000 employees about workplace behavior from colleagues. Perhaps not surprisingly, 85% of respondents said they’ve gotten annoyed at a coworker. (The other 15% must either be Mister Rogers clones or lying.) | Nearly 60% of respondents say annoying coworkers “significantly” impact their productivity. And about one-third of employees prefer to deal with annoying coworkers by distancing themselves. | Here are the five most annoying coworker behaviors: | 1. Stealing credit for others’ work: 33% 2. Micromanaging: 32% 3. Complaining constantly: 30% 4. Invading personal space: 30% 5. Stealing food: 27% | And here’s where those annoying behaviors take place: | In the office: 62% Written communication (email, text, Slack, etc.): 44% Phone calls: 37% Video meetings: 29% | | 📊 Stat of the Day | 🍟 93%: Share of McDonald’s locations that voted to extend its $5 meal deal into August. The initial deal was to last for four weeks starting June 25. The predominant reason for the extension? The cheaper price point is helping increase foot (and vehicle) traffic to the stores. |
