In the right direction It’s our mission to help you make exciting discoveries in and around Cape Town, and this week we would like to point you in the direction of Beerhouse. As its name suggest, this Long Street haunt is home to top quality ales, beers and lagers. In fact, the big yellow hotspot offers patrons 99 different bottled beers from 13 countries around the world, which means your taste buds can do some travelling. In short, other establishments simply p(ale) in comparison! The next spot you should navigate to is Latitude 33. Situated on the Mother City’s trendy Bree Street, this spot, much like Jennifer Lopez, is a triple threat. There’s an art gallery, a clothing shop and, of course, a restaurant all co-existing seamlessly. P.S. we have it on good authority that Latitude 33 serves up life-changing Eggs Benedict! And finally, while we are always ready and willing to help you explore our magnificent metropolis, we are aware of the fact that, logistically, it can be somewhat of a nightmare during peak traffic time. This prompted us to put together a piece on how to survive (or avoid) traffic in Cape Town. You will find a range of fun tips that will help you cope with the congestion. It’s all smooth sailing from here… If you simply want to stay on top of all that’s happening in Cape Town, follow us on Twitter, like us on Facebook, join our Google+ circle, connect with us on LinkedIn or Instagram, check out our Pinterest boards or add m.capetownmagazine.com to your smartphone's home screen! --- COMPETITION WINNER: Congratulations to Adele Plaatjies who won a night's stay for two people at the Spier Hotel, plus dinner and breakfast |
