Happy Monday! 

So last week you probably saw the promotion for our IG Social Story Selling System... 

... And I've gotta say

It was one of the best promotions we've run in a while. 

More than 30 people joined the system... 

Which was more than triple what I was expecting. 

And it taught my team and I some super valuable lessons I want to share with you today...

To help YOU triple the performance of whatever offer you're running. 

Specifically... 

1. Leverage the Power of Deadlines 

In my Social Story Selling system... 

I teach a simple strategy called "The Three Step CTA". 

Which works like this... 

Anytime you make a call to action, you need to tell people: 

1. What they get
2. How they get it 
3. Why they need to get it NOW 

And I'll be honest... 

When it comes to our email promos I often ignore my own advice... 

...And forget to give people a reason to buy NOW

But last week... 

After we decided to raise the price of the course...

People had a very clear and compelling reason to get off the fence and make a decision. 

As a result... 

We had more than 15 sales on the last day of the promotion. 

And the lesson here is simple... 

No matter how compelling your offer is or how great of a deal you're giving people... 

You MUST leverage the power of deadlines to get them to buy NOW. 

Remember... 

Your audience is busy. 

They have kids to raise, businesses to save, and a global pandemic to survive. 

If you don't give them a reason to buy from you NOW... they'll put off making a decision and investing until "someday... 

...And you and I both know that "someday" never comes. 

Even if they know your offer has the potential to change their lives. 

You need to have REAL deadlines that encourage people to take action. 

(Note: Don't be one of "those people" who says an offer closes Monday night only to continue selling it on Tuesday--this tactic only works when it's used with integrity). 

And when you do, your sales will increase dramatically. 

2. Explicitly Explain the Value of What You're Offering 

The second big lesson that we "relearned" is the importance of stacking value...

...And explaining exactly what you're offering and how it will benefit your clients in explicit detail.  

I say "relearned" because frankly... 

...It's a pretty basic marketing principle. 

But it's a principle that's all too easy to overlook. 

And last week we realized that... 

...Even though we offer a ton of value in the course (I could sleep very soundly charging $3k for the program instead of $197)

We haven't done a great job of explaining that value... and exactly what people get when they invest. 

Which is why on Saturday... 

I sent out a long email explaining the biggest bonuses in the course... 

What they are... 

How they'll help you... 

And what sort of results you can expect when you use them. 

When combined with the pressing deadline... 

...It resulted in one of our most profitable emails in months. 

Remember... 

Even though YOU understand the value you're offering to your clients.

...THEY don't

And it's on you to break down exactly what they're going to get and the specific BENEFITS they'll experience when they do. 

The more vividly you can paint a picture of what their life will be like after your solution... 

...And how your solution will take them to the "Promised Land" step by step. 

The more sales you'll get and the more people you can help. 

3. Keep it Simple (And Test, Test, Test)

Finally... 

As a part of last week's promotion, we split tested two sales pages. 

Our "long form" sales page with a big introductory story, tons of bullets, and a breakdown of the course module by module. 

And our extremely blunt short form sales page that has no story, no bullets, and fewer words than some of our emails. 

To our surprise... 

The short form sales letter blew the longer one out of the water. 

Even though it broke most of the sales page "best practices"... 

...And didn't have a hook, bullets, or VSL. 

Our emails did a lot of the heavy lifting and got people excited about the program... 

...And our super blunt sales page made it simple for people to take action and buy right away. 

There are two lessons here if you want to triple the revenue you generate from your next promotion... 

The first is that "more" isn't always better. 

Sometimes, the shorter and simpler you make your copy and your offer... the better. 

The second lessons is that you should NEVER "trust your gut". 

Your intuition can be wrong... but numbers never lie. 

So instead of relying on your "feelings" and what you "think" will work... 

Aggressively test important variables and let the data make your decisions for you. 

Take these lessons and apply them to the next promotion you run... 

Whether it's on email, Facebook, or Instagram.
