From the many subscribers who tell us they remember seeing beloved parents and grandparents reading the Forverts in its original Yiddish to the readers who have emailed their appreciation for our coverage of Jewish communities around the world, the Forward is a connection point to the Jewish past — and a gateway to our communal future.
As we remember our history and those who came before us on Tisha B’Av, we also remember everyone who has ever been part of our community of readers. For so many, reading the Forward is a family tradition. We’re honored to have been part of the way that Jewish families have instilled the values of integrity, courage, and truth from generation to generation. Today, you can help us continue that legacy.
Remembering our history is one of the most powerful ways we honor the memory of those we’ve lost — from family members we remember fondly, to distant communities we were never able to meet.
