Dear Friend,

This message is sent with the hope that you and yours are doing well and in good health. During these past few weeks and days, we have all faced many challenges we never thought we would face. Mary Crowley Cancer Research is considered an “essential business,” so we are open each and every day and remain focused on what is most important: our patients. Dr. Minal Barve, MD, our Clinical Medical Director affirmed this recently saying,“During these uncharted and unprecedented times, the medical staff at Mary Crowley Cancer Research is here and continuing to serve our cancer patients. We are dedicated to ensuring that they receive their much-needed treatments, even when times are challenging.”

Like many others, we have had to adapt how we do business due to COVID-19. Restrictions on travel have made it impossible for our pharmaceutical companies and their monitors to make in-person visits to our clinic, but we have been able to quickly create alternatives to maintain our valued relationships with these great companies. For instance, we have made a virtual tour video of our clinic, which many of the pharmaceutical companies can use in place of an in-person visit. If you would like to see it, click here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BHgb5VSOvSk&feature=youtu.be. This tour was filmed after appointment hours and before additional masking precautions, etc. were put into place due to COVID-19.

At this particular time, we at Mary Crowley Cancer Research would like to take a moment and send our heartfelt thanks to those of you who have supported us over the years. We are so grateful you have chosen to partner with us in our mission to bring hope to cancer patients through innovative clinical trials while advancing treatment for patients in the future. Our patients offer a constant reminder of how much your support means. In fact, I recently caught up with patient Anne Michael-Sneed who told me, "Mary Crowley saved my life! Labeled terminal two years ago and I'm doing better than ever!" Donations like yours have made stories like hers possible! We do hope you will continue to support us at this trying time and have included a link below where you can donate.

We will continue to take the necessary additional precautions to protect the health and well-being of our staff and patients and invite you to learn more about what we're doing by visiting https://www.marycrowley.org/newsroom/press-releases/covid-19-precautions/. You can also connect with us on social media for updates on our progress.

I know one thing for sure, HOPE certainly does live here and cannot be extinguished by adversity. We are grateful to have supporters like you to help us move forward in the fight against cancer, no matter the circumstances!

Take care and stay healthy,
Deborah Montonen, CFRE
Vice President and Chief Development Officer
