| $3.4M in grants for women in apprenticeships and nontraditional occupations Secretary Walsh announced the award of funding to help recruit, train and retain more women in quality pre-apprenticeship and Registered Apprenticeship programs, as well as nontraditional occupations. âThe Women in Apprenticeship and Nontraditional Occupations grants will increase workforce pathways for women entering the building trades at a crucial time, as the Biden-Harris administration is heavily investing in infrastructure to create jobs in the clean energy, technology and manufacturing sectors,â he said. |
| Increasing transparency around medical claims payment processes Final rules issued last week will increase transparency around some medical claims payment processes and clarify how providers and health insurance companies should resolve disputes. The rules were created to implement the No Surprises Act, a bipartisan law to protect consumers against surprise medical bills. |
