Chinese telecommunications giant Huawei Technologies has defied the US Trump administration’s best efforts to hamper its business through bans and restrictions and recorded a bumper first half. Huawei also surged ahead of the smartphone market in China in Q2 2019 to achieve the highest market share for any vendor in eight years, according to global research firm Canalysis.
