Comcast says hackers 'likely' nabbed personal data for 36 million Xfinity customers

Reports suggest that pretty much all of Xfinity's customers have been impacted

Hackers appear to have accessed the personal data of more than 35.9 million customers of Comcast’s Xfinity services for cable and internet, according to multiple reports.

At-risk data includes customer account usernames, birthdates, contact information, hashed passwords, the last four digits of social security numbers, and answers to security questions, CBS News reported on Tuesday.

Xfinity has started to notify customers of the security incident, the details of which have only just been made public despite it being known about since October.

TESLA CYBERTRUCK

Tesla’s Cybertruck could soon transform into a boat, says Elon Musk

The Cybertruck’s outlandish design already sets it apart from competing electric pickups, but having the ability to float would take that uniqueness to a whole new level

Elon Musk wants to offer a Cybertruck that can float like a boat.

Musk’s comment came shortly after Lars Moravy — Tesla’s vice president of vehicle engineering — told former talk show host and gearhead Jay Leno that Musk is keen on the Cybertruck being able to transform into a boat.

I’ve said it before: We’ve hit the point where almost nobody needs to spend more than $100 on wireless earbuds.

Since 2021, there’s been a deluge of products that deliver comfort, sound quality, active noise cancellation, and other desirable features without the need to spend $150 to $300. And what we can expect from the under-$100 category keeps getting better.

The most recent example is EarFun’s Free Pro 3. After spending a few weeks with them, there’s no question that for $80 or less (Amazon discounts EarFun products regularly), they’re a superb buy.

This in-depth, hands-on review digs into everything from what’s in the box and design, to sound quality, comfort, battery life and more ...

How I fixed my annoying, overheating laptop

'My laptop was a hot mess, but I managed to make it a lot better. Here's what you should do to keep your laptop from overheating'

When you buy one of the top laptops, you can usually rest assured that they’ll work fine for the next few years.

I’ve had my fair share of laptops, and one of the main things that has always stressed me out was the fact that they were running a little hot. Overheating can cause lots of problems, from wear and tear to total hardware failures. If this sounds familiar, you might want to check out the things I’ve done to turn my “portable space heater” into a proper laptop.

The first step toward fixing an overheating problem is to find out whether your laptop actually has an overheating problem. It sounds strange, but I learned that one the hard way years ago ...
