Another big Windows ransomware attack has hit Europe and is spreading to other parts of the world, with consensus on the causative agent not yet available.

 



NBN Co, the company building Australia's national broadband network, has announced that it will increase both the monthly download limits and the average peak downloads by up to 50% on its Sky Muster satellite service.

The European Commission has hit Google with a fine of €2.42 billion (US$2.7 billion) for allegedly abusing its search engine dominance to give illegal advantage to its own comparison shopping service.

According to the Australian Tax Office 48,084 “ATO scams” were reported between July and October in 2016 – it is already up to 17,067 and it is not even the end of the financial year yet.
