Today is Wednesday, September 15 __________________________________________________ If you can spare a coin, PLEASE hit PayPal with it! ___________________________________________________ Dopey man tries to get inside car with children inside ___________________________________________________ Today, Sept 15 in 1940 The German Luftwaffe suffered the loss of 185 planes in the Battle of Britain. The change in tide forced Hitler to abandon his plans for invading Britain. ____________________________________________________ You will find that the State is the kind of organization which, though it does big things badly, does small things badly, too. --- John Kenneth Galbraith (1908 - 2006) Moral indignation is jealousy with a halo. --- H. G. Wells (1866 - 1946) ____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________ A couple drove several miles down a country road, not saying a word. An earlier discussion had led to an argument, and neither wanted to concede their position. As they passed a barnyard of mules and pigs, the wife sarcastically asked, "Relatives of yours?" "Yep," the husband replied, "In-laws." ____________________________________________________ Reported by Rock An INTERNATIONAL BONEHEAD AWARD has been earned by Christopher Kyle Holloway, 35, Charlotte County, Florida, USA Dopey man tries to get inside car with children inside The Charlotte County Sheriffs Office has arrested a man after he attempted to enter a familys car while their children were inside. Saturday, Sept. 4, the sheriffs office says it received a call about a man staring at the family from the end of their driveway. This happened along Persay Drive, east of Punta Gorda, in Charlotte County. Christine Martinez was visiting the neighborhood on Tuesday and was shocked to find out something like that had happened here. Something like that being provoked by someone that you know with my family there you know I think I may have I dont know what I would have done, she said. The suspect, later identified as Christopher Kyle Holloway, was said to be pacing about in the driveway, mumbling that God had sent him to the familys home. Obviously terrified, the parents put their two children in the car and locked the doors for their safety. Once the woman and children were inside the car, Holloway, 35, began pulling on the passenger side door forcefully. He was attempting to get inside. The woman was able to reverse out of the driveway and meet Charlotte County deputies down the road while the other victim stayed at the house. While the woman was speaking with deputies, additional deputies arrived at the home. The homeowner spoke with those deputies once they arrived and he said after the woman left with her children, the suspect walked into his garage and began spraying his yard with weed killer. The victim says he kept his distance. The victim says Holloway then went across the street and began spraying the neighbors yard. After that, the suspect got onto a bicycle and approached CCSO deputies. While he was talking to deputies, they determined Holloways behavior was consistent with illegal drug use. Deputies also spoke with associates of the suspect and believe that he was under the influence of illegal drugs at the time of the incident. They say he had left his residence the night before and hadnt been seen since. Holloway was cleared by medical staff before being transported to the Charlotte County Jail, where he is currently being held. Holloway faces charges of burglary of an occupied conveyance unarmed, burglary of an unoccupied dwelling unarmed and second-degree petit theft, first offense. Bond for Holloway has been set at $23,000. ____________________________________________________ If you can help with the cost of the Humor Letter, please donate what you can! ______________________________________________________ From: Hilda Re: Online ordering Dear Webby, You mentioned once that ordering online, when the ad is very long, is usually a waste of money. Is that still the case? Hilda Dear Hilda Yes, just like Shakespeare wrote: "Me thinks thou talks too much." (And are full of shit). That still applies. Have FUN! DearWebby

When Jerry's daughter, Dani, was about 5 years old, she was thoroughly impressing her grandparents with her knowledge of insects while they were out for a walk. She readily identified ants, grasshoppers, crickets, ladybugs and such. When they happened upon a small beetle she did not immediately recognize, she looked at it thoughtfully, raised her foot and stomped it into oblivion on the sidewalk. 'That one', she said, 'is a Squashed Bug.' ____________________________________________ >From Idowis A person with "lightly colored hair" had a Porsche 911 with the engine in the rear. While driving down the road one day the car stalled and died. The person got out, went to the front of the car, lifted the hood and discovered the engine missing. Pretty soon a "similar person" who also happened to have a Porsche stopped to see if they could help. They asked, "What's the problem?" The first one replied, "I don't know. But somewhere along the road I lost my engine. It must have just fallen out." "Oh well," said the second, "You can borrow one from me, I have a spare in the back trunk." ____________________________________________ A customer in a bakery was observed carefully examining all the rich-looking pastries displayed on trays in the glass cases. When a clerk approached him and asked, "What would you like?" he answered, "I'd like that chocolate-covered, cream-filled doughnut, that jelly-filled doughnut and that cheese Danish." Then with a sigh he added, "But I'll take an oat-bran muffin." ______________________________________________
