Being in my eighties and living alone, I have decided to do a wellness check every morning with a friend, only 76 and also living alone. I have my phone alarm set for 8:00 and when the alarm goes off, I will call him to make sure he is OK and if I dont make the call, he will be checking on me. I have his close family contacts in my phone and he has mine. I feel so much safer knowing that if I am having a problem, someone will be trying to contact me. I know a woman who spent 2 days in the bathtub because she could not get out. When she didnt show up at a birthday party, someone came to check on her and got her out. Another man got the gout in both knees and both ankles on a Friday morning. Finally on Monday at noon he got to his phone to get help and was lucky to survive. Please set up a buddy system with someone so that you are being checked on and you are checking on someone else daily. More hints, keep your phone close. Fall in the shower? Can you get to it or is it in another part of the house? A life alert button? --------------- I Skyped my dad evry day. He really looked forward to his daily call from Canada to Austria. He died at 98, but we talked a few hours before he got his wings. Originally we chatted with video but as he got too old for that, we simply dropped down to voice only. A camera is not expensive. Deputies say they were responding to a call just after 9 am about a man who was trying to break into the church. When they arrived, they found the man holding a knife. Deputies say he was not listening to their commands and continued to walk towards the deputies. Officials say two shots were fired and the man died at the scene. Rolf Dear Rolf GIF is an older style, not as fine as JPG. However, GIF does have a few features, that are not normally avalable with JPG, for example animations. The major drawback with GIF is that pictures are realtively coarse, and stay coarse even if you later save them in JPG format. A bonus for GIF is that the pictures are stable. They don't deteriorate further, like JPG pictures do with each saving. If you have to do a lot of editing on the same picture, save it in PNG format, or PSD. Those do not deterirate with each saving.
