It tore off the roof, and picked up the beds on which the farmer and his wife were sleeping. By some miracle, the cyclone set them down unharmed the next county over. The wife was sobbing uncontrollably. "Don't be scared, Mary," her husband said. "We're not hurt." Mary continued to cry. "I'm not scared," she said between sobs. "I'm happy... this is the first time in 14 years we've been out together. ___________________________________________________ Joel Garo Ring-necked Pheasant April 5,2023 Calgary ____________________________________________________ More than anything, Bob wanted to be a cowpoke. Taking pity on him, a rancher decided to hire the lad and give him a chance. "This," he said, showing him a rope, "is a lariat. We use it to catch cows." "I see," said Bob, trying to seem knowledgeable as he examined the lariat. "And what do you use for bait?" "City slickers with shiny shoes." ____________________________________________________ _______________________________________________ A motorist driving by a Texas ranch hit and killed a calf that was crossing the road. The driver went to the owner of the calf and explained what had happened. He then asked what the animal was worth. "Oh, about $200 today," said the rancher. "But in six years it would have been worth $900. So $900 is what I'm out." The motorist sat down and wrote out a check and handed it to the farmer. "Here," he said, "is the check for $900. It is postdated six years from now." _______________________________________________ An INTERNATIONAL BONEHEAD AWARD has been reported by Rock Evandole Lusane, 20, Boynton Beach, Florida, USA Dominos Pizza Delivery Driver Robbed At Gunpoint Boynton Beach Police Nab Suspect, Charged, Jailed A Boynton Beach man is accused of robbing a Dominos Pizza Delivery driver at gunpoint. Boynton Beach Police officials issued this statement Tuesday afternoon: The Boynton Beach Police Department has arrested 20- year-old Evandole Lusane for the armed robbery of a Dominos pizza delivery driver. The incident occurred before 11 P.M. on March 31st in the Cove apartment complex, after the suspect placed a pizza order using the TextNow application. When the driver arrived at the delivery location, Lusane was hiding in a nearby stairwell, armed with a firearm. Lusane pointed the firearm at the victim and stated give me everything you got. The victims cell phone was amongst the items Lusane took during the robbery. Hours later the cell phone was located, abandoned in a stairwell one building over from where the initial crime occurred. On April 3rd the Boynton Beach Police Department was investigating an unrelated incident in the Cove apartment complex where they arrested Lusane. After a thorough investigation, Lusane was positively identified as the suspect from the robbery of the Dominos pizza delivery driver, and the firearm used to commit the robbery was also located. Lusane has been charged with Robbery with a firearm and is currently being housed at the Palm Beach County Jail. ___________________________________________________ An INTERNATIONAL BONEHEAD AWARD has been earned by Randall Berg, 69, Draper, Utah, USA Shameless airport boss insisted his 50,000 child sex abuse images were classy stuff" An airport boss caught with 50,000 child sex abuse images insisted he hadnt done anything wrong, and described the material as classy stuff, police say. Randall Berg, 69, reportedly offered the astonishing explanation and justification after being arrested in Draper, Utah, on Wednesday. Confronted about the huge stash of child abuse material found during a police search, the former Salt Lake City International Airport director of operations described them as classy stuff, and adamantly stated he believed his conduct was legal. Court papers say Berg also showed unwillingness to acknowledge the severity of his actions. During the same interview, Berg allegedly admitted to searching for child sex abuse material since 2001 or 2002, and described the victims depicted in the images as younger teens. Investigators believe that some of the children featured in the illegal material are as young as seven or eight years-old. ABC4 reported how Google had passed on a tip to police that Berg owned an online account that contained multiple abuse images. A subsequent search of that account during the raid on Bergs home yielded 30,000 illegal images, interspersed with images of the alleged pedophile himself, it is claimed. Investigators also checked the recycle bin of Bergs computer, where they are said to have found an additional 20,000 images depicting similar abuse, court papers say. Berg was charged Friday with 25 counts of second-degree sexual abuse of a minor, all felonies. He is being held without bail at Salt Lake County Jail. A judge accepted prosecutors warning that Bergs former job at the citys airport means he could have the connections and knowledge to try and flee justice. A second court date for Berg has not yet been set. I guess they are still busy counting images. DeaWebby's Tech Support Pits From: Hank Re: Email server Dear Webbby; I greatly appreciate your daily Humor Letter. What Mail Server do you recommend? I have had Incredimail for years and they folded up. Thank You Sir, Hank Dear Hank For the last 20 years or so I have recommended Gmail. It is free at http://gmail.com The mail is stored "on the cloud", in those huge server farms that you probably have seen pictures of. All you carry is your user name and password. When you get to your hotel in Timbucktoo, you go to the courtesy computer in the lobby, log in to Gmail, and all your mail is waiting for you and everything configured just like at home. Sure, it takes a bit of getting used to, just like a new girlfriend. But it works well and is reliable. Google has been invaded by Socialist Yuppies, who can't leave a good thing alone, and who are frantically making useless and awkward changes, but it is still way better than Incredimail. Have FUN!
