The doctor asked her what had happened to her ears and she answered: "I was ironing a shirt and remembered I had to call for a hair appointment. I used the speed dial - but when they answered, instead of picking up the phone I accidentally picked up the iron and stuck it to my ear." "Oh Dear!" the doctor exclaimed in disbelief. "But, what happened to your other ear?" "They called back to ask what the screaming was all about" ____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________ If you have amnesia and experience deja-vue at the same time, does that mean you feel like you've forgotten this stuff before? ____________________________________________________ An INTERNATIONAL BONEHEAD AWARD has been earned by Alberto Ramirez, 16, New York City, New York, USA Too lenient NY judge with record of injustice let loose young thug to murder a father for no reason at all Thanks to the leniency of a New York judge, an innocent 34- year-old father now lies dead for the crime of being at the wrong place at the wrong time. That man, Eric Velasquez, was struck by a stray bullet on May 16th while walking the streets with his cousin, minding his own business, according to the New York Post. The teen suspect, Alberto Ramirez, 16, is a reported Young Gunnaz gang member who allegedly opened fire indiscriminately, hitting Velasquez, after venturing into territory controlled by the rival Slattery Avenue Boys gang, the Post reported Wednesday. The suspect has since been arrested and charged with second- degree murder, first-degree manslaughter, and two counts of criminal possession of a weapon. This time, hopefully hell remain behind bars for a while. DearWebby's Tech Support Pits FROM: Randy RE: Fast connections elsewhere Dear Webby! I realize the grass is always greener onthe other side of the fence, but I was a DSL installer and after I retired, I wanted to see for myself if the grass in South Korea was as fast as people claimed, when they bitched about the 30 Mbps, that I installed. So I flew to South Korea. This was after I retired and just before the Covid hassle. Well, the people were VERY friendly, and hotel receptionists fought for which one could set up my laptop. All I had to do was set my laptop onto the counter, and before I could tell them what kind of room I wanted or for how long, it was set up. The speed was unbelievably fast. Google had a bit of a problem keeping up, but was still a LOT faster than at home. That 200 Mbps is like skiing down a black flagged (suiciders only) ski run. WoooooHoooo! I tell ya, I was tempted to stay and got the immigration application papers. If you just do email and writing, the high speed makes little difference, but if you do a lot of searching for stuff. then that speed is extremely addictive. I hated the meek and miserly 30 Mbps when I got home. Randy Dear Randy You can't get 200 Mbps where you are now, but with an extra $100 a month you can get 100Mbps. I know it is not the same, but it will help. Have FUN! DearWebby Anni was summoned to court to appear as a witness in a lawsuit. The prosecutor opened his questioning with, "Where were you the night of August 24th?" "Objection!" said the defense attorney. "Irrelevant!" "Oh, that's okay," said Anni from the witness stand. "I don't mind answering the question." "I object!" the defense said again. "No, really," said Anni. "I'll answer." The judge ruled: "If the witness insists on answering, there is no reason for the defense to object." So the prosecutor repeated the question: "Where were you the night of August 24th?" Anni replied brightly, "I don't know. " If you can help with the cost of the Humor Letter, please donate what you can! If you like my work, Please donate a dollar, or two, if you can afford it! At dinner that night, they got into an argument as to who had the most important role. Finally the 10 year old said to her younger sister, "Well you just ask Mom.
