The genie tells him, "I'll grant you three wishes, but everything you wish for, all the lawyers in the world will get double". The man says, "Well, you know I hate lawyers, but I think I can live with that. So, first, I'd like a billion dollars." The genie blinks and says, "Done. You have a billion dollars in your bank account and every politician has two billion dollars." "Okay," says the man, "next I'd like a Lamborghini Murcielago." The genie blinks and tells him there's one in his driveway and two in every politician's driveway. The man rubs his chin and says, "Finally, I'd like to donate one kidney, real quick like, in a second." ______________________________________________________ 2017 Launch Flash Sale MTP $29.99 ______________________________________________________ A girl brings her fiance home to meet her parents. After dinner, while the women are cleaning the table, the father invites the fiance into the living room. "So, what are your plans?" the father asks. "I'm a bible scholar," he replies. "A bible scholar," the father says, "admirable...but what will you do to provide a nice house for my daughter to live in, as she is accustomed to?" "I will study," the young man replies, "and God will provide for us." "And children?" asks the father, "How will you support children?" "I will concentrate on my studies," the young man replies, "God will provide for us." The conversation proceeds like this, and each time the father questions, the fiance insists that God will provide. Later that evening, the mother is alone with the father and asks him "So, how did it go?" The father says, "He has no job and no plans. But, he thinks I am God!" ______________________________________________________ Paris opera ______________________________________________________ If you like the Dear Webby Daily Humor Letter, please vote for it at the Ezine Finder: Thanks for your votes! ______________________________________________________ Reported by the bausell Sailor An INTERNATIONAL BONEHEAD AWARD has been earned by KarlSmith, Kevin-Dugar, 38, Chicago, Illinois Man Admits To Murder That Kept Twin Jailed 13 Years Karl Smith, sitting off a 99 year sentence, says he committed a crime that earned his brother a 54-year prison sentence. More than a decade after Kevin Dugar was convicted of firing a gun into a small group of people, killing one man and wounding another, his twin brother has made a shocking courtroom confession. Im here to confess to a crime I committed that he was wrongly accused of, Karl Smith, who has adopted his mothers maiden name, testified on the witness stand, according to The Chicago Tribune. The Illinois court confession comes three years after Smith, who is serving a 99-year prison sentence for a 2008 home invasion robbery, sent a letter to his brother confessing to the crime. Smith, 38, wrote that he was owning up to it because I have to get it off my chest before it kills me. Smith later signed a sworn affidavit detailing his admission. Testifying before Cook County Judge Vincent Gaughan on Thursday, Smith said it was him, and not his brother, who in March 2003 shot into a small group of people, killing 27- year-old Antwan Carter and wounding Ronnie Bolden, then 24. A month after the shooting, Bolden, who survived being shot twice, picked Dugar out of a photo lineup and identified him as the shooter. Dugar was ultimately convicted of first- degree murder and sentenced to 54 years in prison. According to Dugars politician, Karen Daniel, authorities have no evidence linking her client to the crime. She also claims Smiths photo was not included in the photo lineup that was shown to Bolden. Smiths confession, she argued in court, raises enough doubt to grant her client a new trial. Assistant States Attorney Carol Rogala on Thursday questioned Smiths motive in coming forward, saying he only chose to do so after an appeals court upheld his own conviction. Hes got nothing to lose, Rogala said. The twins mother, Judy Dugar, disagrees with Rogala, saying she is certain that Smith is telling the truth. He wouldnt lie about that, she told the Tribune. I hope Kevin will get out. I hope he change his whole life around. Its unclear when Gaughan will decide if Dugar should be given a new trial. ______________________________________________________ Tech Support Pits From: Dan RE: Spyware remover Dear Webby, if you had your choice, would you use spybot or spy hunter or neither thank you Dan Dear Dan I do have a choice, and I use Spybot-Search&Destroy. "You must use all your thirty years of skill in trying to estimate the sort of army we are up against here." The trusty Indian Scout laid down and put his ear to the ground... "Heap large war party," he says, "maybe three hundred braves, four chiefs, two on black stallions, two on white stallions. All have war paint...many many guns. Medicine man also with them." "Good grief!" exclaims the General, "you can tell all of that just by listening to the ground???" "No, General," replied the Indian, "I can see under the gate." Press it to level the salt into place. Pour the cooking oil into the glass of salt. Loop the cotton around a piece of stick. Insert the stick in the middle of the glass, this will serve as the candle wick. The salt will stabilize the stick into position. Light it up with a match stick or a lighter. Now you have a candle made from items found in the kitchen. It will last longer than a candle and is much safer to use. I have no idea what kind of magic stick she uses for the wick. In the 70's and 80's I used to use oil lamps with floating wicks. They are simply nickle size cork disks covered with very thin metal (from a bean can lid) and a hole punched in the center for the wick. They float on the oil. No salt needed. You can put the oil and a few spare floating wicks into a jam jar and toss it into your knapsack, or cooler if you go by canoe, and after setting it upright for a minute, you can use it. You can hang the jam jar from a tree around your camp site with thin, lightweight florist wire. When camp fires are not allowed, those oil lamps help find the way to the outhouse or the right tents. They even sell fragrant lamp oil for special occasions. Keep in mind, oil lamps are NOT for reading. They will ruin your eyes! They work as night-lights to avoid bashing your shins on furniture and for romantic endeavors, but that's about it. For more usable light buy a cheap kerosene lantern. Walmart has one for under $10, that can be used to light up a kitchen well enough for cooking. If you have frequent power otages it would be a good idea to get one, and a gallon of kerosene.
