"But, wait a minute," said the listener, "She'll have to dress with the boys and shower with them too. Won't she?" "Sure," replied the man. "Well, won't they find out?" The man shrugged, "So far, none of them complained." ____________________________________________________ I have called you here today to finalize our plans for world domination. ____________________________________________________ >From Jeannie "Women don't need conventional tools around the house, we'll use anything that's handy. Use the hamburger. ____________________________________________________ Reported by Rock An INTERNATIONAL BONEHEAD AWARD has been earned by Shae'd Bowen, Chandler, Arizona, USA Chandler mother arrested for murder after toddler dies of methadone overdose A Chandler mother has been accused of murder after her 2-year- old daughter died from a methadone overdose back in April of last year. Police say the child had been found unresponsive and died at the hospital on April 14, 2020. Her mother, Shae'd Bowen, told officers that her daughter had found an empty bottle of methadone in the trash the night before, and that must have been how the toddler was exposed to the drug. Court documents show her second child, age 7, also showed signs of methadone intoxication and later tested positive for the drug in her system. Bowen told police that she takes methadone, but would never give it to her kids and denied giving them the drug or giving them access to it. Investigators later searched the home and found unsecured bottles of the drug in the family's home. The second child told police that her mom gave them "obedience medicine" at night. "Both children were at [methadone] levels higher than possible under the story provided by the defendant and most likely with either a single high dose or prolonged exposure to the methadone are the only explanations for the presence of the drug in their system," police said. Bowen faces second-degree murder and child abuse charges. DearWebby's tech support pits from: Dominic Re: Why not Skype for 911 Dear Webby I have used Skype for 20 years and found it to be quite reliable. Even when the ISP, Telus, has problems, I can still get through with Skype. What irks me is their warning not to use Skype for emergencies or 911. Why is that? Dominic Dear Dominic When you dial 911 or any emergency number, they see where you are at. That helps them to respond quickly, even if you get cut off before you can tell them where you are at. With Skype, you go over the internet to a common number near where you are calling to, and would really confuse them. That common number might be east of them, and you could be in the West. So they refuse to answer. If you can't get to a regular phone, skype somebody, who has one. In addition to that, Microsoft is scared that there might be a malfunction and that you might sue them. Originally, that was their main excuse. Have FUN! DearWebby From History A bonehead award goes to the family of the late Henry Elrod II who visited a Florida resort, and aparently saw some berries growing on bushes. According to his wife's lawyer the berries appeared tasty to him, and he supposedly ate enough of the berries to be poisoned to death. His family is now suing the resort. The berries are so foul and burningly bitter tasting that normal people spit them out after the first exploring bite, and call the poison control center. Henry, however, must have thought that compared to his wife's cooking they were delicious, or that they were a way to get away from her cooking. She herself didn't eat any Chinaberries and is now suing the resort, the landscaper, and nearly two dozen companies for not hanging warning signs on the trees. The Chinaberry tree is so common in Florida that it is considered a common nuisance weed by the state. Orlando Sentinel 5-May-01

Finally she couldn't take it any longer, and told him, "Listen, it means nothing, they even have a vice president of prunes at the grocery store!" "I doubt that!" he said. Not sure if this was true or not, Tom decided to call the grocery store. A clerk answers and Tom says, "Can I please talk to the Vice President of prunes?" The clerk replies, "Sure, Canned or Dried?" ______________________________________________ Ophelia Dingbatter's NewsNo sermon and not suitable for church, just jokes and fun for grownups.
