| Canadian utility Hydro-Quebec said it expects to need an additional 14% of energy capacity to meet demand growth between 2022-2032. The majority of that growth, 7.8 terawatt-hours (TWh), will come from electric vehicles. However, the company also expects to be able to offset 8.9 TWh through energy efficiency and demand response, much of that from a new smart home program called Hilo, which it launched last year. |
