At Hyperallergic, we always have time for a good joke.
The world is often difficult to comprehend, and we believe that one of the best ways to inject it with joy is by poking a little fun. Hyperallergic’s Comics highlight life’s various annoyances, idiosyncrasies, and slow behemoths of change, while we faithfully lampoon arts institutions and trends once a year on that holiest of days, April Fools
While we of course like to have a good time, we also know that comedy is one of humankind’s most effective tools for change. Sometimes the best way to draw attention to a critical topic is to point out the absurdity of it all, using irony as a digestive for information people are inclined to avoid rather than address.
We’re serious about playful perspectives on art in society, and we love to brighten your day — and speak truth to power — with humor and sass. Levity in the art world is often sought and rarely found, but at Hyperallergic, we’re happy to provide a space for the best of it.
