More on Updraft. | Forecast Limited testing leaves many sick Minnesotans without answers. As of Saturday, Minnesota health officials confirmed 1,427 COVID-19 cases across the state via 35,404 tests. Experts say the state may have identified as little as 1 percent of all cases through testing so far. Allison Tennyson, of Minneapolis, is one of the many who has been sick with COVID-19 symptoms but has not been tested.
When will I get my stimulus check? This coming week is the time the U.S. government has said many Americans should start getting their stimulus checks. Not everyone qualifies, many will not see the full $1,200 and it is unlikely that everyone will get them at the same time. This Forbes article outlines a timeline for payments. You can check the IRS portal to determine if you are eligible. While we are talking about the IRS, a reminder that your federal and Minnesota tax filing deadline is not this week. Both were extended until July 15, 2020.
