Hi John! Ready to clear your mind and unlock your creativity in a few minutes? You may have seen today's prompt on my Facebook page or Instagram feed. My friend who tried it sent me this message:
She said: "It took no time and was a great way to clear my mind and get to work!" We're going to experiment with variation and iteration - a powerful way to expand your visual skills and boost creative confidence.
Horizon Variations & Iteration1. Make a grid of squares or frames in a shape you like 2. Choose a few colors to play with (shown here greens and yellows with acrylic, spirulina mixed with a bit of water, and pencil) 3. Make a horizon line in each frame, varying the quality or placement of the line: flat, bumpy, mountainous, low, high, etc. 4. Add details to each frame so that no two compositions are alike.
Have a Zen Art Moment: Do your best not to worry about the result; aim to focus on the process and the flow you may experience in the present moment. By making multiple versions of one thing, our work can lead to new composition ideas, color interactions, and a greater joy of creating quickly with a bit of repetition. Like my friend, you might even clear your mind so you can tackle other tasks with renewed focus! Exploring new horizons, Rachelle P.S.
