Good morning

The first person to receive the coronavirus vaccine in Northern Ireland was a nurse who will play a key role in the vaccination programme at the country’s main hospital. Joanna Sloan, 28, is sister in charge of Covid vaccination for the Belfast Health and Social Care Trust, Northern Ireland’s largest.

A DUP MLA has challenged gaelic games leaders to take decisive action on the glorification of terrorism in their sports after a video emerged which appeared to show some camogie players chanting support for the IRA.
Upper Bann MLA Jonathan Buckley said the incident, which he said followed the Armagh camogie team’s victory in the Junior All-Ireland championship on Saturday, was “another inexcusable example of IRA glorification within gaelic games”.

And we tell how a local National Lottery millionaire has given away half her fortune to change lives. Frances Connolly scooped £114.9million on the lottery in January 2019 and set about using the money to help those in need, inspired by the generosity of her late mother.

Keep safe
