Good evening, It's been an interesting day here in the newsroom with sonic booms getting everybody talking and pretty busy. But there are few of us that could manage a significant workload at 95 after suffering loss of a loved one and managing a family undergoing a storm - and still have a pithy word or two to say. But the Queen is made of sterner stuff and she is not going to let personal issues get in the way of state issues. Her two, albeit virtual, engagements today came after she suffered a Covid scare. The 95-year-old monarch held two virtual audiences from Windsor Castle with the Estonian and Spanish ambassadors. It comes after concern mounted for the head of state’s health after she met with eldest son the Prince of Wales a week ago, two days before he tested positive for coronavirus. Buckingham Palace has continued to refuse to confirm whether the Queen had tested positive or negative for Covid, citing medical privacy, and saying last week only that she was not displaying any symptoms. Yesterday was the first time the Queen has been photographed, albeit on a screen, since she reached her historic Platinum Jubilee milestone. I’ll have whatever she’s having, please.
