PARIS 2019: IAG chief signals Boeing MAX confidence with stunning 200 aircraft deal

The CEO of one the world’s largest airline groups gave Boeing a significant and highly public boost at the Paris Air Show June 18, announcing a tentative deal for 200 MAX 737s.

Paris Air Show day two and, shock, some real news! In the best-kept industry secret of the year, British Airways parent International Airlines Group announced a deal for 200 Boeing 737 MAXs.

International Airlines Group (IAG) became the third customer for the new Airbus A321XLR when it ordered eight of the ultra-long range narrowbodies for Spanish carrier Iberia and six for Irish carrier Aer Lingus, plus 14 options.



Paris 2019: Korean Air to expand long-haul fleet with 787-9s, -10s

Korean Air plans to add 30 Boeing 787 Dreamliners to its fleet, with a commitment to purchase 10 787-10s and 10 additional 787-9s. The Seoul-based carrier will also lease 10 787-10s from Air Lease Corp.

Cebu Pacific signed an MOU for 16 Airbus A330-900s, five A320neos and 10 A321XLRs, the newest and longest-range version of the A321neo. The MOU was among a set of new Airbus aircraft order announcements made on the second day of the Paris Air Show that included AirAsia, Delta Air Lines and Saudia.


PARIS 2019: Lessor NAC signs for 105 more ATRs

Regional aircraft lessor Nordic Aviation Capital has signed a $2 billion letter of intent to take 35 more ATRs, along with 35 options and purchase rights on a further 35 aircraft.

Embraer Commercial Aviation CEO John Slattery is “very confident” that the manufacturer will have orders for the E175-E2 before it is certified in 2021.
