A bill in Idaho that would provide workers' compensation coverage for 911 dispatchers who develop post-traumatic stress disorder is earning praise from National Emergency Number Association CEO Brian Fontes, who said the legislation "reflects the reality of the job." A 2012 study from Northern Illinois University found that 18% to 24% of dispatchers suffered from PTSD.
