Icy weather: A freeze is coming our way — including a chance of snow — on Tuesday, and due to the national holiday Monday, school systems and local governments have had to make their announcements about closures early. Bob Warren has this report on road hazards and metro-area closures.
Wildfires and hurricanes: Two weeks into the California wildfires, comparisons of that disaster to Hurricane Katrina have come up with increasing frequency. And for residents there who also went through Katrina almost 20 years ago, the experiences have eerie similarities. Joni Hess has the story.
Cops speak: The officers who fired upon Shamsud-Din Jabbar after he rammed his car through dozens of Bourbon Street revelers, killing 14 of them, have spoken about their experience on a video released by the NOPD Friday evening. Michelle Hunter has the details.
