The Cannes Lion Festival shines a spotlight on the best of the best
The Lions are among the most sought-after awards in the creative and marketing industries. The Cannes Lions Festival is not only the venue for judging and delivering these coveted awards, but also a gathering place for leading thinkers in the industry. In June they came together for presentations and panel discussions, exploring the broad range of topics and looking ahead at what's next for those in the business of creativity.

Among the various panel discussions, Deloitte, in partnership with Variety, were sponsors and/or participants in the following events:
  • The Future of Storytelling: Achieving engagement is paramount for marketers today, and a host of cutting-edge technologies, from augmented and virtual reality to sophisticated data analytics, are taking engagement to a new level. How are they changing the nature of storytelling and the type of content being developed? Take a look.
     
  • Gender Parity: Accelerating the Advancement of Women in the Workplace: Creativity and storytelling today call for a diversity of voices and perspectives. Making sure some of those voices belong to women has become a priority for many companies in the media and entertainment business. In this all-female executive panel, participants explored ways in which their industries should move forward to achieve true equality at the top decision-making levels. See them in action.
     
  • Where Technology Meets Story: Advancements in virtual and augmented reality, are poised to revolutionize audience engagement. Panelists from Deloitte, Sony and Intel-all partners in the recently launched Sony Innovation Studio - discuss how these tools will soon give content creators a ground-breaking new way of telling stories and immersing consumers.
