“At MarinHealth … we've got something that really is a game changer" to protect staff from COVID-19. —MarinHealth CNO Karin Reese, RN, MSN
To protect staff members from COVID-19 exposure and conserve PPE, California independent hospital MarinHealth has taken a new approach to virtual care by delivering it inside the 235-bed hospital. In March, CNO Karin Reese, RN, MSN, shared the details with my colleague Mandy Roth.
More than 90 hospital rooms have been outfitted with special equipment that enable physicians, nurses, and other personnel to deliver much of the patient's care virtually from stations throughout the facility.
The legislation would give green cards to 25,000 nurses and 15,000 physicians, ensuring that rural areas especially have the appropriate number of healthcare professionals.
Using a scenario exercise framework, this whitepaper guides leadership teams in exploring practical initiatives to embrace the “Three As:” ambiguity, agility, and adaptability. Pandemic response and recovery represent exactly the sort of scenario teams would examine using this model.
